Aside from being smaller, there are actually a handful of significant differences between the Wii and the Wii mini that might not be obvious at first glance. Back when the Wii Mini came out, it was a cheaper alternative to the original Wii, and that may have made it an enticing product despite its comparative lack of functionality.
The color of a Wii console can actually have a significant impact price. That being said, the different color variants actually sell for the same price at GameStop. The only deciding factor between the prices for GameStop is whether or not the console comes with the Wii Remote Plus or the standard Wii Remote.
Regardless of the retailer, however, it appears as though there is very little if any difference between the pricing of the black and white Wii consoles. GameStop buys both Wii and Wii Mini consoles as well as games. However, the retailer offers next to nothing for both retro consoles. GameStop is moving to increase its retro game offerings , but this is still an expanding effort and currently only in limited locations. Yes a complete gamecube processor system plus the Wii processor system, packed into one console very efficiently, and sharing the optical disk drive.
Top edge had hinged door toward rear which opened showing the physical cable and memory card ports that Gamecube used. Later Wii's did NOT have this backward compatibility. There were many excellent Gamecube games including rpg's. You can alternatively get an old gamecube as well but why not have both complete systems in one console.
Some of the non-backward compatible Wiis had the disk slot and label made to be used lying flat on the shelf, and the older ones had the label oriented to stand on edge; but not all, so be sure to check that the seller has the exact originial model and Rev number, and not the newer versions.
Also, the older Wii is older software which is more readily homebrewed if I remember correctly , so look that up too. While you are at it, puck up a nintendo-brand Wii "Classic Controller Pro" which is very ergonomic, as well as a set of gamecube controllers, cables and mem card it uses a cartridge not sdcard. Stick to nintendo they build tanks , or Nyko for 3rd party accessories.
If you have a homebrewed older Wii with Gamecube you will also be able to burn both types of games to an external hard drive Dolphin is great!
Any controller or the wiimote can be connected to use on pc with an adapter, no big deal. The best games are still great game design today, and are worth getting, especially when not beat up. PS - I bought used Wii twice and no problems. One already brewed. Also used PS's. Also same approach works well with other used consoles. Run it on a shelf, with air around it, not in midst of junk or sucking lint on the floor.
Especially if its an older playstation. Sign up to join this community. GameStop buys both Wii and Wii Mini consoles as well as games. The Wii is one of the best-selling consoles of all time, but how much is the Nintendo console worth now? Oh, should probably mention, I was playing very long sessions of Rune Factory Frontier at the time, often leaving it on overnight bringing up the home menu as a sort of pause , so I was putting a heavy load on it. Fail, and we all face a tyrannical age of pizza the likes of which sentient life has never known.
User Info: mavlok. Re consoles, never sell not worth it for the money you're gonna get or buy used people who are willing to sell them usually mishandle them. User Info: JigglyJinjo. It is never safe to buy used no matter what system it is. There is no way to know what kind of abuse the system has been put through, so the money saved isn't worth the potential problems.
Besides, the price of the Wii is so low now that there isn't much reason to buy used. User Info: WiseGuy If your going to get a preowned system, Wii is your best bet though a mint condition 60 gig PS3 is still the best choice for obvious reasons because 's and PS3's generally have a lot more problems then Wii.
I wouldn't buy a preowned console. Should probably just be lurking. User Info: Phasmatis Generally, yes.
