Maeby goes undercover to prove that the pageants are all about beauty but finds throwing the pageant as an ugly girl is more difficult than she thought. Buster tries to find a way out of his accidental reenlisting and learns he can find a substitute. George, Sr. Michael spends time with Rita but finds someone is trying to separate them. When Japanese investors are tipped off that land might not be good, Michael is accused of revealing secrets to Rita.
In an effort to save the deal, Gob and Buster work on a plan to keep the Japanese buyers from leaving. A jetpack discovered by George Michael leads to a disaster unfolds. Maeby tries to save her failing film Love Indubitably …and has to think fast. The real Mr. Tobias finds his health is suddenly failing and tries to find the source.
Michael is forced to rescue Rita from her uncle…and the family decides the wedding must happen when they learn Rita is a millionaire.
Michael tries to get over losing Rita and tries to plan the Bluth Company fundraiser. George Michael receives a script from Maeby that indicates Maeby might be softening to his advances.
Michael tries to deal with working with Gob and suggests Gob open a banana stand…which he does with Steve Holt right next to the Bluth stand. Maeby seeks inspiration for her horror film and looks to her grandmother. Lindsay attempts to date Bob Loblaw leads to Loblaw representing Tobias. Gob finds himself accidentally a waiter when he tries to play a joke on Lucille. The trial of the Bluth family is coming and the Bluths get a chance to test their case in a mock trial for a show hosted by Judge Reinhold.
Buster falls into a coma, and Lindsay uses the opportunity to get close to a man whose wife is in a coma. Michael plans to marry Rita, but that's not before her uncle Trevor intervenes, and Michael discovers Rita's handicap. When the family learns that Rita has millions of dollars, they try to speed up the wedding process. S3, Ep7. The family plans their annual fund raiser, and they actually have a cause this time - Tobias is ailing due to his transplanted hair plugs, which appear to be rejecting him.
Lindsay uses the illness as her ticket back into high society, and Michael learns of the prison warden's true intentions with his mother after reading the warden's screenplay. S3, Ep8. Michael is tired of his father always having Gob compete with him, so Michael gets Gob his own banana stand franchise, only to find that Gob has set it up 20 feet from the old one.
After the two compete, they decide to teach their father an elaborate lesson, and Buster refuses to use his handicap to scare kids. Meanwhile, Maeby uses Lucille's surgery in a horror film. S3, Ep9. Michael suggests to Lindsay that she take over the house work, and he sends George-Michael to an expensive boarding school. Meanwhile, Maeby has trouble with a snowboarding film and Tobias tries to be a "discipline daddy". S3, Ep As the family's upcoming deposition nears, they participate in a mock trial, hosted by Judge Reinhold.

Watch options. Storyline Edit. Meet the wildly dysfunctional Bluth family. This family was once at the height of real estate development in Orange County, California. But when the family business - the Bluth Company - goes bust, they're suddenly found penniless with their assets frozen. They move into their last remaining asset - the model home left over from their latest housing tract. Their luxury vehicles are replaced with a reminder of the family's former wealth: 'the stair car that accompanied their private jet'.
The patriarch of the family is George Bluth - he's now in prison, and loving every minute of it. His wife Lucille and daughter Lindsay are spoiled socialites who can't handle getting kicked out of family restaurants. His son Buster is in his mid 30's and lives at home. His son George Oscar Bluth is a magician who started a group to get magicians to be taken seriously, and gets kicked out when his own tricks are revealed.
Lindsay is married to a man named Tobias Funke, once a psychiatrist, who decides to become an actor. The only sane member of the family: Michael Bluth, along with his son George Michael, want nothing to do with the family business. But one bizarre circumstance after another keeps Michael and George Michael from leaving their eccentric family.
