Just a little add on If you have at least 9 arch and 8hbr and 10 logistics with a hero over 80 attack you can farm 5s out completely out with ballis and trans and if you send warriors with the attack you will lose them but your hero gains alot more exp this is optional.

Yellowbelly also discovered that if you use Archery level 10 with Horseback Riding 5 with ballistas, the results become somewhat more irratic and suspects it could be linked to the Attack value of the defending NPC Hero. Yellowbelly also concluded that at Horseback Riding 9 still Archery 10 ballistas was a safe amount when your heros Attack level is below 30 because when only were sent losses ranging from started occuring on heroes with Attack.
I have found a way of getting below those "magical" ballistas with only level 8 archery - seems like it is very dependent on hero attack value, I started from ballistas with the same if several levels weaker hero, and was attacking with 10 less by every attack, and there was no casualties on any of those ;. Actually it's pretty disturbing, but it also seems, that it works for certain attack level of hero, since after that attack - and upgraiding my hero to attack - strangely I got high casualties not only with ballistas attack, but with another ballistas one as well.
By whole time I had same vital reseach levels Arch8, HBR6, MT8, IW7 , so be carefull with this It could be attack value of NPC's hero, but I looted it cleanly with low ballistas and this hero many times until this upgrade, so it is also possible that too high attack isn't always the best on certain researches levels.
